This wiki details information about the Crusader Kings II: A Game of Thrones mod, based on George R.R. Martin's series of novels collectively known as A Song of Ice and Fire.

So I downloaded this game from steam a few weeks ago, and pretty much my only reason for doing so was to play the game of thrones mod. However, since I've set it up the game crashes whenever I try to play the mod and the solutions I've looked up on this subreddit and on other sites haven't worked. Since I put some money into the game in order to play this I was wondering if any of you guys had a similar problem and could help?
Here's a step by step walk through of what I've tried so far:
-I downloaded the normal game with the Charlemagne, Legacy of Rome, The Old Gods, and Way of Life DLCs. Up to this point the game works fine, haven't had any trouble unless the mod is selected.

-Went to this link (http://www.moddb.com/mods/crusader-kings-2-a-game-of-thrones-ck2agot/downloads/ck2agot-10-windows-installer#downloadsform) and clicked the red download now button
-The mod showed up under my selections, tried to play it and it wouldn't work
-Looked up solutions and one said to go into steam and right click on the game and select properties, then change to version 2.3.6. Tried this and it didn't help.
-Went back to the download site for the game of thrones mod and downloaded the zipped files for version 1.1 from this link (http://www.moddb.com/mods/crusader-kings-2-a-game-of-thrones-ck2agot/downloads/ck2agot-11-zipped-files) and downloaded the windows installer again for version 1.1 from this link (http://www.moddb.com/mods/crusader-kings-2-a-game-of-thrones-ck2agot/downloads/ck2agot-11-windows-installer)
-Tried to play the game with the mod, it didn't work. Still on version 2.3.6
So I'm not very good with computers so a lot of the time when I'm looking this stuff up I'm not sure what people are talking about, I've seen something about saving files in a certain location on your computer but I haven't changed anything from default.I'm not sure what version of windows I'm using but I haven't upgraded to Windows 10 if maybe that could be the problem? If I could get any sort of help that would be awesome, thanks!
